Youth Ministries

     The Youth Ministry program at First UMC Gainesville is a vital part of our church ministry. Offered for youth in grades 7^th - 12^th, all youth have an opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences that are designed to strengthen their relationships with God and with each other.  The youth meet on Sunday and Wednesday evenings for fellowship, a snack supper, and Bible study. The goal of youth ministry is to bring youth into Christ centered relationships.

     The youth of our church are actively involved in missions. They travel annually to different areas of the country or to Mexico to do a weeks worth of hard labor for those who are less fortunate.  In recent years they have provided service to a Navajo Reservation in Utah, the Appalachia Service Project, and Proyecto Abrigo, building homes for families in Mexico.

      Other activities that our youth regularly participate in include game nights and movie nights at the church, as well as other activities such as our annual mystery ramble and other fun trips in and around the DFW area.
